The doorway pet barrier is efficient at keeping your pet in the house or room when the door is opened. Can be a life saver if you live near a hyway. The door barrier let's your dog you mean bussiness so they will not try to bolt out the open door. The barrier consists of two separate pieces, the housing unit which is installed on the door jamb and the receiving bar which is installed on the door. When engaged, the barrier automatically draws from within the housing unit as the door is opened providing a barrier across the expanse created by the opened door. The barrier material is a reinforced opaque vinyl that is puncture and tear resistant. The housing unit is thin and lightweight, you'll hardly know it's there.
