Made from 4 layers of material: 2 layers of 600 Denier nylon, 1 layer of PVC and 1 layer of soft fleece. Rated 8 out of 10 on the toughness scale. Not indestructible but very tough. All 4 layers are rolled and then sewn together to make one extra tough layer. A total of 7 seams are used; 4 hold the toy together then a layer of nylon webbing is added, to cover the stitching, then 3 more seems are added. Squeaker safety pockets - each squeaker is sewn into a nylon safety pocket beneath 4 layers of material.
